Go Sunday

This August we invite you to join us for an important sermon series called, "GO". We will be learning about the great commission and preparing to go out into our community with the love and power of Jesus. As a church family we will meet on Sunday, August 27th at 10:15am for a brief time of worship and prayer. Next, we will break off into teams and go into the community to serve for about 90 minutes. Finally, we will meet back at Christian Assembly for lunch and an opportunity to share testimonies. These outreaches are designed for all people, young and old, to participate!

$1 car wash

This event is advertised as a $1 car wash. However, after washing the car, we actually give them $1 instead of taking theirs. This event has proven to open opportunities for discussion and prayer with those who are surprised by the love and kindness shown to them.

creative outreach

Each team will be given an allotment of money ($50).  Their assignment is to pray and discuss how to turn this money into an opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others.  We will give some examples before sending you out, but teams are free to design their own outreach.

Villa Angela

Spend time at a facility for elderly patients.  Visit their rooms – sing some songs – offer prayer and encouragement.  This is a great opportunity to minister hope and faith to some of the senior residents in our community.

If it is physically difficult for you to leave the building and do an outreach, you can sign up for the "Lunch Team" that will prepare the lunch for our church family to share in when they return from outreaches.

"GO" BAG ASSEMBLY TEAM All elementary aged children will stay at the church to assemble bags for the homeless. These bags will be distributed to church members who will give them to the homeless whenever they have the opportunity. We are asking any elderly who would like to stay in the building during the outreaches to help with this team.

CHILDCARE is provided for all preschoolers and nursery age children.
