Our Vision
We are family of Jesus followers who love God by devoting ourselves to His Presence, His People, and His Purpose.
Jesus,
Thank you. Thank you for your love and sacrifice by which you made us a part of your family. You save us, forgive us, heal us, guide us, comfort us, and strengthen us. May our response to this great love be nothing less than our whole lives, fully devoted to your presence, your people and your purpose.
May we be devoted to your presence in all its forms. The presence of your beautiful word as we meditate and breathe in scripture when we are alone and when we are together. May we meet with you in the secret place of our prayer closets and the sacred place of our assemblies.
May we be devoted to your people. Teach us to be one, as you and the father are one. Grant us the strength to lay down our lives, our pride, our agendas, our political ideologies, our fear, and our judgements. Release in us the power to love and know each other like you do.
May we be devoted to your purpose. Help us to share your good news so that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Thank you for allowing us the honor of partnering with you in this amazing mission. Lead us, and we will follow. Ignite our hearts so that we might burn for you. Here we are… send us!
Amen.
CA's 5 Values
We desire to be true disciples of Jesus. This begins with learning who our God really is through careful study of the Bible and time spent in His presence. True disciples not only learn to understand Jesus, they begin to imitate Him. At Christian Assembly we are committed to providing you with biblical teaching on Sunday mornings and throughout the week in life groups, bible studies, and service teams.
Scripture teaches that we are to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. We strive to apply this through our teaching and musical expression, but also in our daily walk. Our goal is to learn to see the opportunity for worship in everything we do. As we discover that our time at school, work and play can become times of worship, our lives will be transformed by God’s love.
When you look at Jesus’ outreach strategy, one thing becomes apparent. He valued people over programs. Relationships are the vehicle through which real transformation happens. Our goal is to have an eternal impact through each relationship.
It has been said that Sunday morning is the most segregated time of the week in the United States. Fortunately, we have been richly blessed with people from numerous cultures and ethnicities from around the world. We strive to maintain an environment where people from different backgrounds are welcomed and at home in the body of Christ.
Christian Assembly is a family and we believe it is God’s desire for us to function as one. Just as your family has many generations, we represent many generations. It is important that all ages are included, valued and work together in growing and serving.
What We Believe
THE TRINITY God has always existed in Himself. He is non-created, self-existent, eternal, and the Source of everything that exists. He is one God who exists as three persons: God the Father; God the Son; God the Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1; Deut. 6:4; 4:35; Isa. 44:6,7; Col. 1:17; Eph. 4:6; Matt. 28:19; 1 John 5:7))
THE FATHER The first person of the Trinity who is the Creator of the Universe, Life-Giver, Law-Giver and Protector of all things.
JESUS He is fully God and fully man. He is the Savior sent by the Father and gave His life as the full and final sacrifice for the atonement of sin to all who believe. (John 1:14; Luke 27-35; 1 Pet. 3:18)
THE HOLY SPIRIT The Third Person of the Triune Godhead. He was sent by God the Father and God the Son on the Day of Pentecost. He is the regenerating agent at Salvation and through Him the believer is supernaturally empowered to witness and serve as a child of God. Jn. 15:26; Jn. 16:13,14; Acts 1:5-8, 2:4)
THE BIBLE The Bible is the Word of God recorded by His servants through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the believer’s “manual” for living and is eternal, immutable and infallible. (Mt. 5:17,18; 2 Tim. 16,17; 2 Pet. 1:21; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Rom. 1:16)
SALVATION Regeneration or the new birth is received only through faith in Christ Jesus, who was raised for our justification. They who are in Christ Jesus are new creatures and have wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. (Rom. 3:24-25; 2 Cor. 1:30, 5:17)
WATER BAPTISM Water Baptism is a public testimony that identifies the believer as having renounced a life of sin and committed to pursue a life of Christ-likeness. (Mt. 28:19; Rom. 6:3-7; 2 Cor. 5:17; Acts 2:38)
CORPORATE WORSHIP Whenever believers gather there should be an awareness of the presence of the Living God. Believers gather for the purpose of teaching, fellowship, spiritual enrichment, prayer, and service. (Heb. 10:25; Acts 2:42-47)
COMMUNION Initiated by Jesus Himself, Christian Communion is a remembrance of what Christ did for us through His death and resurrection, and is a celebration of all we receive as a result of His sacrifice. (Mt. 26:26-29; Mk. 14:17-25; Lk. 22:14-20; 1 Cor. 11:23-30)
